Data, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, refers to “factual information (such as measurements or statistics) used as a basis for reasoning, discussion, or calculation.” As data has become increasingly important for making evidence-based decisions across industries, trust and safety teams have also begun to routinely rely on and leverage data to ensure safety, privacy, and acceptable behavior on online platforms.
