This session is geared towards managers of trust and safety teams.

Content moderators arguably do one of the most important jobs on the internet, and their work is incredibly difficult. In the past years, the need for content moderation has exponentially grown as is the increased concern about their wellness and resiliency. Managers play a significant role in supporting team wellbeing and preventing the escalation of adverse reactions to disturbing content.

Research and best practice are emerging on how managers can be supported to lead their teams. Some of these guidance include providing managers with a greater understanding and awareness of how to lead and develop resilient content moderators, spotting concerning signs that their team members may need wellbeing support, and equipping managers with the tools to have supportive wellbeing conversations.
