In today’s digital age, the nature of political discourse can result in a wide range of outcomes from healthy debate all the way to a sense of existential threat that leads to harm and violence. This political landscape sees weaponized conspiracy theories playing a significant role in this potential for violence. This presentation aims to equip practitioners who moderate political conversations with the frameworks and insights needed to navigate this challenging landscape.

Join TSPA and Sarah Pollack (CTEC) as we delve into the characteristics that define today’s landscape where conspiracy theories are more primed to be weaponized and identify key hallmarks of conspiracy theories that allow us to address harm amidst quickly changing use of speech.
