The third edition of the T&SF focuses on the impact the most recent public policies have had on the T&S community and diverse responses being implemented. The EU Digital Services Act (2022) as well as the Ai Regulation (2023) is not only affecting social media platforms but also extends their reach to user-generated content websites and user experiences.
The UK Online Safety Bill is also one of the most far reaching regulation in preparation, and the emerging Global Online Safety Regulators Network initiated by the Australian eSafety Commissioner may put Safety by Design at the heart of future public policies. Consequently, the T&SF is bringing together all public and private stakeholders from the digital ecosystem to share collective knowledge, help content moderators, policy and product teams, trusted flaggers and regulators identify areas requiring stronger focus, and explore viable solutions for compliance with these regulations.
The T&SF will provide the space for discussion for any sector implementing the various components of the DSA, gain deeper insights into the Ai Regulation and also familiarize themselves with different technology solutions available to address illegal and harmful content online. By coming together as a community, we can fortify our collective strength and enhance our ability to identify malicious actors while safeguarding all users on the internet.
