Nuts and Bolts of Content Moderation: The Rest of the Internet

Hosted by Engine and Stand Together

We often talk about content moderation on large social media sites, but what does content moderation mean for the rest of the Internet?

So much of the policy conversations around content moderation focus on a handful of companies that host specific types of content. But every Internet company that hosts user user-generated content—from e-commerce listings to comment sections to collaborative editing apps—deals with content moderation challenges. And startups have to do it without the deep pockets of large Internet companies to invest in content moderation technologies or armies of human content moderators.

Join Engine and the Stand Together Trust for the second panel in a three-part series on the Nuts and Bolts of Content Moderation. This panel will feature founders of startups around the country that host different types of user-generated content and have to decide how to invest their limited time and resources in keeping their platforms safe and relevant for their specific communities of users.

Panelists to be announced.
