Last month, we brought together over 1,300 attendees from all over the globe for our 3rd annual TrustCon. It was a spectacular event, and once again, it was a sold out show! As the premier conference fostering a global community of trust and safety professionals, TrustCon 2024 surpassed even our expectations with its scale, energy, and the wealth of knowledge shared.

The heart of TrustCon is its rich content, and this year was no exception. With 255 speakers and 63 presentations, 41 panels, 21 lightning talks, and 16 workshops, TrustCon offered something for everyone. The sessions ranged from deep-dive workshops and technical demonstrations to thought-provoking panels and lightning talks. Whether you were looking to deepen your understanding of content moderation, explore the latest advancements in AI and automation, or discuss the ethical implications of emerging technologies, TrustCon had it all.
Highlights included discussions on the future of trust and safety in a rapidly changing digital landscape, strategies for managing election misinformation, and the importance of mental health support for those working on the front lines of online safety. We were also thrilled to have powerhouse keynote speakers, Rumman Chowdhury and Catherine Teitelbaum, join us for the first and second days of the conference.

The spirit of collaboration extended beyond the sessions, with plenty of opportunities for attendees to engage in informal discussions and forge partnerships. With Birds of a Feather events that ranged from rooftop happy hours to wine tastings, the energy was palpable as ideas were exchanged, challenges were shared, and solutions were brainstormed. This year, we had lunch meet-ups with affinity groups, IRL Coffee Chats, a wildly popular boba tea break, and so much more.

As TrustCon 2024 drew to a close, one thing was clear to us: the trust and safety community is stronger than ever. The event not only highlighted the critical work being done to protect users online but also underscored the importance of coming together as a community to tackle the challenges ahead.
We’re already looking forward to what the future holds and can’t wait to see how the ideas and connections made at this year’s TrustCon will shape the trust and safety landscape in the years to come.
