🔨 What you’ll do:
• Assist in the building, management and scaling of systems that moderate video and image content flowing through the Yik Yak social media app and other managed platforms
• Manage and build relationships with vendors that assist the Trust & Safety Team
• Collaborate with the Moderation Manager on the management and development of a round-the-clock moderation team so that users get served the best content and feedback in a timely fashion
• Work with the user experience team to problem solve and trouble shoot user issues, while working towards long-term automated solutions
• Assist with the daily organization of requests and the escalation or resolution of issues reported
• Assist the policy team in defining, clarifying and implementing the Community Guardrails while also identifying any gaps that may exist
• Improve spot-checking system/machine learning on Community Guardrails system
• Work closely with our product/engineering team to ensure unity of vision and direction
• Work with law enforcement on legal and/or emergency requests
• Develop processes and procedures to streamline work and make it more efficient
• Develop Trust & Safety employees for growth and leadership, when possible
• Assist in the development of quarterly Transparency Reports

👋 Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong affinity for Yik Yak and local community
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, or other related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years moderation/operations/marketing/communications experience or other related field
• Strong ability to identify, analyze and strategically solve problems and then communicate results
• Exposure to scaling systems and processes that better maximize time and improve efficiency
• Experience and capacity to manage and motivate a team
• Ability to remain neutral and review work as defined by the Community Guardrails while keeping personal bias aside
• Passion for ensuring the safety and health of the Yik Yak community
• Capability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
• Ability to work remotely
• Flexibility to work evenings, holidays and weekends, as needed

🚀 Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong editorial background and proofreading skills
• Experience with content management tools and customer focused management systems
• Active social media presence
• Experience with confidential information collection and management
• Quick learner and adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills
• Appreciation/affinity for UI/UX design
