Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, law, political science, public policy, international relations, journalism, anthropology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in program or operations management in a high-tech environment.
  • Experience in intelligence, threat management, risk management, incident management, or a related field in the online content risk space.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with internet technologies, policy, and regulatory environments.
  • Experience in setting up and managing cross-functional teams with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of international and geopolitical events.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, carry out responsibilities, grow in ambiguity, and lead through a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to understand an investigative data-driven approach to answering questions.
  • Excellent writing and drafting skills.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, analyze, and report on strategic content risks and threats to trust in Google and its users.
  • Coordinate and mobilize mitigations teams for persistent user risks.
  • Manage cross-organizational projects, programs, and improvement efforts to solve strategic issues impacting trust and safety.
  • Manage cross-functional relationships and workstreams across Trust and Safety, Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP), and Legal teams to execute projects that improve operational efficiency.
  • Synthesize multidimensional information and data sources for different audiences and executives.
