We’re looking for software engineers passionate about solving complex, world-changing problems end-to-end using machine learning. You’ll be joining a highly experienced engineering team that moves quickly, uses the latest tools and infrastructure, and pushes the boundaries of computer science, data analytics and human computation.

By deploying in cloud based infrastructures, using ML and large scale information retrieval, building multidimensional social graphs and open source tools, we’re making the internet a safer place.

Day in the life:

    • Develop software solutions for the collection, storing, and classification of unsafe online content across media types including text, image, video, audio and 3D objects.
    • Extract features from text, image, video and audio content, both English and non-English
    • Build classification models to identify unsafe online content, then implement and scale them to serve some of the world’s largest internet platforms
    • Work with team to productionize models in a high throughput, low latency setting
    • Dream up, pilot, and productionize new ways to detect harmful online entities on top of public cloud infrastructure to protect vulnerable groups and fulfill customer needs
    • Take ownership of modeling e2e to meet business requirements

What you bring: (These are guidelines NOT requirements. If you are close, please apply!)

    • Passion for internet safety and impactful work (strong plus)
    • Multiple years of full-time professional software development experience coding >70% of the time OR multiple years of ML experience with large amounts of time spent developing software
    • High comfort level with Python and writing high-quality, well-tested code
    • Experience building, implementing and scaling complex machine learning models
    • Ability to scale technical systems, especially at early-stage startups
    • Past experience relevant to the daily goals listed above

Extras (great to have one or more of these):

    • Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda
    • Experience building and tuning multi-modal ML systems
