The Senior Product Safety & Compliance Analyst will support YETI’s global Product Safety & Compliance program. This individual will be accountable for ensuring ongoing annual compliance of YETI inline products to ensure continued conformity to regulatory requirements. They will track legislative updates and partner with internal cross functional stakeholders to proactively communicate and manage compliance risks to ensure compliance at time of enforcement. They will also track and analyze all 3rd party testing for trends, insights, and potential cost saving initiatives. Furthermore, this individual will be responsible for supporting enforcement of regulatory guidelines by providing regulatory expertise and knowledge during investigations.
The ideal candidate will be a highly organized team player, who is passionate and is able to thrive in an environment of ambiguity, while providing good judgment and a practical execution approach. The candidate will have a strong understanding of the regulatory approval process and the ability to interpret standards, partner with 3rd party labs to conduct testing and obtain/maintain declarations related to compliance for global markets.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing the global Product Safety & Compliance strategy
- Interact with cross-functional and global teams, vendors, and labs regarding testing, labeling and regulatory requirements and safety issues
- Identify and help drive continual process improvement
- Support New Product Development (NPD) platforms as needed
- Lead Annual Testing efforts in defined product categories
- Assist with data and document collection during recall efforts or other compliance issues identified
- Analyze testing data quarterly for trends and insights, present findings to cross-functional partners, and support changes based on analysis
- Maintain weekly and monthly testing cost record
- Lead cost savings efforts identified though quarterly test analysis
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems to automate and enable YETI’s compliance processes including:
- Test Request Form (TRF) automation
- Test analytics dashboards
- 3rd party test lab interfaces
- Support efforts to ensure compliance to new market expansion, global regulatory updates and provide support and updates to YETI cross functional teams
- Participate in efforts to prepare the business to comply with new product regulations
- Monitor global regulatory and industry standard updates, communicate potential impact to the business in a timely, proactive, and precise manner
- Ensure update of YETI RSL and testing protocols upon enforcement
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 4 years’ professional working experience in product safety & compliance, preferable with consumer products
- Multi-jurisdictional compliance experience, particularly involving the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, EU, UK and China
- Excels at running multiple projects at the same time while maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated collaborative and relationship building skills, with an ability to work well within a dynamic, matrixed organization and ambiguous environment
- Experience implementing a product safety strategy and playbook
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to continually meet critical deadlines
- Growth mindset and a “hands-on” willingness
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
- Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence
- Knowledge of third-party labs and testing protocols for consumer products
- Experience working in legal, compliance, or heavily regulated product industry
- Ability to work under time pressure
