Position Overview

The ML Product Operations Director will support and develop DoubleVerify’s ML systems through content labeling at scale to support NLP and ML model development, as well as through ontology development. As a Snr. Director of ML Product Operations, you’ll manage teams of Subject Matter Experts who are responsible for DV’s data labeling; as well as teams of Ontology Developers who develop and maintain an Ontology with over 5M rules. This role is a key position within a group of Product Managers and Engineers who are building systems that analyze millions of pages, videos and images per day to provide global brands with accurate and safe results across Apps, Web, Connected TVs, Youtube, Facebook, TikTok, etc.

In this role, scale, efficiency and quality will serve as your north stars. You will be responsible for leading a group of 35+ individuals across two locations, as well as for leading vendor teams and contracts. You’ll be accountable for the delivery, velocity and quality of work of the teams, as well as for their professional growth and work related well-being. You’ll create new processes and enhance existing ones. The Director of ML Product Operations will collaborate closely with product managers on improving existing ML solutions and developing new ones, as we create products for advertisers and publishers across the digital landscape.

The ideal candidate is data driven and has substantial operations management and leadership experience. Familiarity with, or ability to learn about ML Ops and content classification is key for success in this role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
  • 10+ years of combined full time working experience
  • 5+ years of operational management experience
  • 3+ years of management experience with direct reports under your guidance and leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with managing large and distributed teams
  • Experience managing people managers
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field
