About the Team
DoorDash’s Trust and Safety team is seeking an experienced Program Manager to create and launch programs that will keep people who use DoorDash safe. Trust and Safety is focused on proactively mitigating safety risk on the DoorDash platform while also responding to safety incidents quickly, effectively, and empathetically to ensure our consumers, dashers, and merchants have a safe experience. We are on a mission to ensure DoorDash is a platform where all customers, dashers and merchants are safe from harm and feel safe while using our platform. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a proven track record of performance identifying, testing, and launching programs that directly address potential harm to our community.
About the Role
As a Program Manager of Safety Programs, you will identify Safety gaps and drive the implementation of critical, large-scale initiatives supporting the Trust and Safety department’s goals. You will partner closely with internal cross-functional teams including product, operations, marketing, public policy, and legal as well as external vendors and partners that will aid us in launching programs that promote safety and trust to our customers, dashers, and merchants. You have demonstrated well-honed project management ability in previous work, and you have the ambition to build programs from the ground up. The role will require you to have the curiosity and ingenuity to design proof of concepts and analysis, while also working with leadership to build a long-term Safety strategy.
You are a thoughtful and skilled relationship manager; able to build connections with internal stakeholders and outside safety organizations. We will need a self-starter with a can-do attitude who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up, can work in a rapidly changing industry, tolerate ambiguity, and demonstrate problem-solving with limited oversight. The ideal candidate has some technical prowess and a passion for data-driven insights to help them make informed decisions that improve our valued community.

- Work with our Safety team to identify, scope, and execute on department wide programs that meaningfully prevent, mitigate, and reduce safety incidents.
- Work with Trust and Safety leadership to define, launch, and execute various strategic initiatives focused on elevating our response to victims of safety incidents.
- Manage relationships with safety organizations, partners, and third-party vendors that support us in creating a safer platform.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across Trust and Safety, Marketing, Product, Support, Legal, Public Policy and others to drive key projects.
- Define project goals and key results that align with strategic vision.
- Build detailed project plans with tasks, resources, dependencies, and dates. Identify risks and create mitigation plans.
- Clearly communicate analysis from initiatives to management and the broader Trust and Safety organization.
We’re excited about you because…
- 6+ years focused on project/program management, consulting or corporate strategy.
- 3+ years of Trust and Safety/Risk/Fraud experience preferred
- Experience managing large cross functional programs with multiple milestones and stakeholders
- Familiarity and experience working on projects focused on safety on a local, national or international scale.
- Experience working with product and engineering teams to implement change and drive results
- Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Multi-tasking capabilities as we grow fast and changes come up frequently.
- Impeccable communication skills and experience working with management and leadership teams, Experience presenting to senior leadership
- Knowledge of the product we offer and passion for DoorDash.
