Come build the future with Amazon’s legal team. We are looking for a strategic and organized Policy Manager to partner with business, legal, public policy, and public relations teams to advise on the digital trust and safety policy issues associated with user-generated content.

In this role, you will use your knowledge and experience in assessing for, identifying, and strategizing on policies to mitigate digital trust and safety risks and communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, to stakeholders to help identify and mitigate risks unique to the online environment. Our environment is very fast-paced and requires someone who is flexible, biased for action, very detail-oriented, holds high personal standards, and is comfortable tracking many threads across many teams.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the operational and policy issues associated with highly offensive and illegal content and demonstrate experience and passion for the digital trust and safety policy space. You will have experience advising leaders of cross-functional teams on the unique risks, best policy practices, and a variety of tailored mitigation strategies for combating highly offensive and/or illegal content.

As a Policy Manager you will:
· Ensure policies comply with the company’s approach to managing and mitigating digital trust and safety risks.
· Build the curriculum and training to further educate services about their risk and mitigation options for digital trust and safety.
· Drive the policies and strategy for digital trust and safety training, resiliency, and wellness program.
· Work with highly offensive and/or illegal content.


· 3+ years policy development or management experience in the field of content policy or content moderation.
· Experience includes handling sensitive content moderation issues.
· Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
· Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries.


· Experience in trust and safety policy in the technology industry.
· Knowledge of best practices related to trust and safety.
· Demonstrated ability to identify, mitigate, and manage business risks and tradeoffs in a high-pressure environment.
· Proven ability to model calm behavior in a crisis, drive consensus, and operate in ambiguity.
· Ability to influence without authority across teams and levels
