Responsibilities
TikTok is the leading destination for short-form video. Our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. Our Trust & Safety team’s commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community. Working with the Safety Support policy lead, you will be part of a global team, ensuring that our policies and processes protect the safety of our users and platforms globally.
The position will require someone with an ability to influence change across levels and cultures. You must be able to successfully deliver concurrent projects and priorities, by taking action from the strategic level down to project details.
What will I be doing?
– Support the crafting of policies and processes with global insights, focusing on safety and user support.
– Act as a policy escalation point of contact, aligning all stakeholders on policy positions in the event of sensitive escalations and consulting on how, if at all, content violates our community guidelines and policy standards.
– Prepare process explanation documents for each workflow segment, ensuring cognition unity.
– Work closely with the operational manager, project manager and operational team to ensure clear process logic of each workflow segment.
– Streamline the implementation of policies and processes, working closely with the rest of the operational team as well as other Trust & Safety functions.
– Collect feedback, evaluate improvement suggestions and execute policy and process improvement projects.
– Identify opportunities for improvement in our current processes, in particular, working with the operational teams.
– Analyze the user experience and implement content policy together with product and operation team.
– Represent the function in large scale Trust & Safety projects touching on policy and process implementation.
Qualifications
-3 years in Trust & Safety operations or a similar environment.
– Extensive experience in related areas of policy development, specifically regarding technology/internet/social media/content and compliance.
– Demonstrated experience with policy and process development in a complex global environment.
– Excellent oral and written communications with the ability to translate complex challenges into simple and clear language and persuade between multiple levels.
