We’re looking for an experienced International Trust and Safety specialist, focusing on Ukrainian and/or Russian language content, to help ensure Pinners worldwide have a safe experience on Pinterest. This includes leading international content safety initiatives to identify potentially harmful situations, detect policy-violating content, and starting new processes to represent regional needs. In this role, you will collaborate closely with several teams, including trust & safety product and operations, policy, brand safety, localization, content & creators, engineering, and data science. Disclaimer: You may need to review sensitive and potentially disturbing content including but not limited to vulgar language, hate speech, violence, and other graphic content.

What you’ll do: 

  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to identify and resolve safety-related issues in our products and to promote Pinner well-being and safety with the expansion of product features to international markets.
  • Effectively plan and lead content safety projects from the initial ideation phase through final execution.
  • Act as a global escalation point of contact and respond to emergency content safety-related cases.
  • Coordinate with the localization team to localize sensitive terms.
  • Collaborate on the optimization of internal tools to increase efficiency and support international needs.
  • Track and report progress on projects led by the trust & safety, spam and policy teams.
  • Gather insights from the day-to-day operations of the trust & safety team to contribute to the development of new and improvement of existing initiatives.
  • Ensure the team is up-to-date on all policy, process and product changes.
  • Track metrics and dashboards that help measure and improve content safety globally.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience managing projects related to trust & safety product changes / operations.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, program management or product management.
  • Native Ukrainian and/or Russian speaker.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems, analyze them, and leverage data to provide recommendations and solutions.
  • Experience working closely with engineers, product teams, operation teams, policy teams and international partners across different time zones and cultures.
  • Ability to operate effectively and autonomously in time critical ambiguous situations with minimum guidance.
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships and to build credibility and trust with stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Active Pinterest user with a strong interest in our product.

  • This is a 6-month contract position at Pinterest. As such, the contractor who fills this role will be employed either by our staffing partner (ProUnlimited) or by an agency partner, and not an employee of Pinterest.
  • All interviews will be scheduled and/or conducted by the Pinterest assignment manager. When a finalist has been selected, ProUnlimited or the agency partner will extend the offer and provide assignment details including duration, benefits options and onboarding details.
  • The role is remote, with all meetings conducted via Video Conference, Home internet expenses are covered up to $50/month if needed, Easy access to the Bay Area is a plus, should offices reopen in South Of Market (SoMA) San Francisco, CA, PST timezone preferred. Travel may be required once the office will reopen, at a cadence to be agreed upon.
