The Central Investigations team is dedicated to keeping users of Meta technologies and platforms safe. We pride ourselves in helping prevent harm by applying deep subject matter expertise to identify and mitigate potential safety-related threats to keep Meta and its users more secure. Our team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced investigator who will have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging, high-visibility risks the company faces and the opportunity to have a substantial impact.

We are seeking an investigator with experience in understanding and mitigating child safety issues, as well as networks that may look to facilitate the coordination of harm against vulnerable populations. In addition to having a strong investigative and analytical background, we are seeking an investigator who has experience making risk-based decisions, and who is passionate about protecting people. The successful candidate will be able to assess and analyze large amounts of data in order to identify sources of potential threats and abuses, operate independently in a fast-paced environment, and proactively collaborate with teams across the company. The position is full-time and would be based in our Singapore office.

Central Investigations Analyst (Child Safety) Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of safety issues and how they impact Meta, our products and our communities, with a focus on understanding how bad actors may try to target minors and vulnerable populations
Investigate complex cases and conduct deep analysis of potential threats that may manifest on Meta technologies and platforms
Independently manage multiple analyses at once while effectively prioritizing time
Identify sources of abusive behavior, quickly and accurately assessing the credibility of potential threats in order to mitigate risk of harm
Work cross-functionally with other analytic and investigative teams across the company, including collaborating with Policy, Engineering and Integrity partners to improve the detection of behavior that violates our Community Standards
Gather, analyze, and synthesize relevant data to identify potential abuse
Work with graphic and sensitive content on a regular basis

Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent
Professional experience in investigations or analysis in law enforcement, security, risk, or safety domains
Subject matter knowledge on child safety and related issues, especially pertaining to various social media platforms, analytical tools, and online research tools
Investigative or analytical experience related to online harms against children and vulnerable populations
Excellent analytical and investigative skills combined with the ability to quickly assess large amounts of data in order to detect critical and credible information
Experience working with sensitive issues that include graphic violence, a variety of religious and political views, and adult content
Ability to work independently under high pressure situations and make sound decisions with little to no supervision
Experience and inclination to protect highly confidential information

Preferred Qualifications
Fluent in other non-English languages. Preferred languages include Portuguese (especially Brazilian Portuguese), Spanish, Arabic, Indonesian, Thai, Burmese, Urdu, Bengali, Tagalog, Malay, Pashto as the analyst may deal with issues in non-English speaking markets
Knowledge of data tools such as SQL, Python, or other data analytics programming coding languages and data visualization tools
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience conducting child safety investigations, or similar, on behalf of a technology company
