Business Analyst, Content Moderation- Trust & Safety

Spotify Trust & Safety is dedicated to creating a platform that’s safe for users and creators and true to our values. We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing Trust & Safety team. You will be responsible for the development of data visualizations, reporting and insights to help scale content moderation efforts. You will work closely with a global team and build cross functional partnerships across Product Trust, Vendor Management and Policy Enforcement Operations teams to provide recommendations and feedback that directly impacts operational health. You are a natural leader and a problem solver who excels in a fast paced environment, can build structure in ambiguous spaces, and can influence cross-functional teams to drive solutions. This role can be based in NY or United Kingdom

What you’ll do

• • Design, build, and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to supervise operations performance and develop frameworks to optimize content moderation initiatives.
  • Identify and develop key insights, including root cause analysis, trends and actionable insights to help drive operational efficiencies.
  • Assist in the day to day performance of our Trust and Safety policy enforcement operations including forecasting and reporting responsibility.
  • Work directly with the leadership team to help prioritize and execute on organizational strategic objectives including quarterly planning and road mapping.
  • Help navigate future go to market launches and identify gaps and areas for investment to support content moderation scaling efforts and to improve user experience.
  • Educate and mentor team members to up level knowledge and understanding of how to leverage data and insights to address operational challenges.
  • Present to leadership and cross functional stakeholders on content moderation analysis and forecasting.

Who you are

• • BA/BS degree required.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in an analyst role handling complex data sets, conducting risk analysis and forecasting, and building data visualizations and dashboards.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel / Google Sheets, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is required. Programming experience in Python or R is a plus.
  • Experience handling data analysis related to content moderation operations is a plus. Previous experience in Trust and Safety Ops analytics is a plus.
  • Able to demonstrate data and insights to improve operations performance and can facilitate data-driven and advised prioritization across operations.
  • Confirmed ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously across time-zones. Can facilitate critical conversations with ease and balance contending priorities.
  • Outstanding communication skills; experience synthesizing complex information for all audiences.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify operational improvements and turn feedback into action
