The Digital Safety Office’s Developing resilience in the field of digital safety workshop provides attendees with the knowledge and best practices intended to help reduce the effects of viewing impactful content. With individual assessments, group discussions, and take-home activities, participants should come away from this training with a better understanding of the effects of stress on the human body and what preparations can be taken to mitigate the impact.

This webinar is designed for hotline analysts, content moderators and trust and safety teams.

Speaker Biography
Marlena Lagasse is one of the Critical Content Analyst team managers under Microsoft’s Digital Safety Office. The CCA team is responsible for the detection and handling of impactful content such as Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Imagery (CSEAI) and Terrorism and Violent Extremism Content (TVEC). Marlena has worked as a Microsoft FTE for 3 years, with a special focus on managing and evolving the team’s Wellness program.

Shakeila Valentine has worked in the content moderation space for nearly 8 years covering a range of harm types including Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Imagery (CSEAI) and Terrorism and Violent Extremist Content (TVEC). In her current role she manages a group of critical content analysts for Microsoft’s Digital Safety Office.
