The need for the Global North and the Global South to work together
Building on the pioneering work of E. Tendayi Achiume, former Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism’s 2020 report on racism and technical design.
AI for the People invites Black digital human rights defenders across the globe to an event to meet their counterparts.. This meeting will focus on how civil society in the United States is responding to the spread of online hate on social media, with the intention of inviting colleagues from the Global South into the discussion.
Our goal is to create a coalition to make sure the PFPAD makes combatting algorithmic a focus area.
